WHAT IS INSTANT TURF?

Instant turf is gorgeous grass grown on a farm and cultivated including the soil and root. That means instant turf is a roll of LIVING grass. Not just any grass can become instant turf though. Every roll of instant turf that we install is absolute perfection.

Some people make the mistake of thinking that instant turf can be applied any time, anywhere—and have the same results. Just like everything else in landscaping, there’s a science to it. Conditions, soil, and weather have to be just right in order for the instant turf to take.

We ensure that all of these conditions are met and exceeded, however, if a roll or section of your instant turf doesn’t make the grade—we’ll replace it for free!

INSTANT TURF INSTALLATION

Preparation

Before laying the instant turf, the site has to be graded and prepared. Sometimes this includes adding a layer of topsoil or peat moss in order to balance the PH of the area and ensure the soil is in tip top growing condition.

Laying

When laying the instant turf, especially in higher traffic areas, the rolls may have to be staked down while the roots flourish into the existing soil. Laying the turf as soon as it arrives on site is the best way to prevent the early stages of rot. Especially on hot days, turf must breathe.

Cutting

Your instant turf will look magnificent once we lay it down, however, we precision-cut all edges to ensure the sharpest lines imaginable.

Aftercare

The first 6 weeks after we lay your instant turf are absolutely crucial to the future health of your lawn. Watering your lawn 2 to 3 times per week for the first 3 weeks will help your instant turf establish deep roots. We advise waiting approximately 4 weeks until mowing your instant turf for the first time. This will give the grass ample time to get established.
